May 9: Historic Landscape and Horticulture Walk at Drayton Hall

On Saturday, May 9, 2020 – Mother’s Day Weekend and our Drayton Hall Festival Botanica Weekend –  at 9 am, join Drayton Hall’s Manager of Horticulture and Landscape for a walking tour of the historic landscape and garden of Drayton Hall. Eric Becker has completed extensive research into surviving archival resources and the Drayton diaries to establish a deep understanding of the plan, execution, and plantings of Drayton Hall from the time of its completion in 1791 to the present.

Eric also manages the landscape and horticulture of Drayton Hall on a daily basis and is intimately involved with our historic botanical specimens as well as the surviving details of the colonial landscape features across the Drayton Hall historic core landscape.

Eric’s tour will take approximately two hours and will cross the entire landscape of Drayton Hall. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, we encourage sunscreen and insect repellent as well.

Members/ Friends: $30. Non-members: $40.
